G19/17 50rd Drum Mag Overview

The 50rd Drum Mag holds 50 rounds of 9mm in a compact drum configuration that fits all double-stack Glock pistols. Load it up, lock it in, and you have serious capacity for range days, competition stages, or home defense setups. The drum feeds reliably and drops free when empty.

The body is glass-filled polymer with hardened steel reinforcement where it matters. Inside, a heat-treated chrome silicon wire spring handles the tension needed to push 50 rounds through the feed system. A ratcheting load assist lever makes loading manageable since stuffing 50 rounds by hand would get tedious fast.

Why Choose a 50-Round Drum

Maximum Capacity, Minimum Reloads
Fifty rounds is nearly three times what a standard G17 magazine holds. For range sessions where you want to shoot more and reload less, or competition stages where round count matters, the drum keeps you in the fight longer.

Works Beyond Pistols
This drum fits any platform that accepts Glock double-stack 9mm magazines. That includes pistol caliber carbines like the Kel-Tec Sub 2000, AR9 builds, and other Glock-mag compatible PCCs. The extra capacity makes even more sense in a carbine where you’re shooting faster and want fewer mag changes.

Load Assist Lever
The ratcheting load assist lets you wind in rounds without destroying your thumbs. Essential when you’re loading 50 rounds at a time. The mechanism is built into the drum body for easy access.

Steel-Reinforced Construction
The polymer body is glass-filled for impact resistance, with steel inserts at critical stress points. The combination keeps weight manageable while maintaining durability where the magazine takes the most abuse.

Compatibility

This drum magazine fits all double-stack 9mm Glocks from Gen 1 through Gen 5. That includes the Glock 17, 17L, 18, 19, 19X, 26, 34, 45, and 47. It also works in 3D printed frames built for double-stack Glock magazines, such as the DD17.2, DD19.2, and DD26.2.

The drum is also compatible with most pistol caliber carbines that accept Glock magazines. Function in PCCs is generally reliable, though the manufacturer notes that fit and function in carbines is not guaranteed since there are many different PCC designs on the market.

Not compatible with single-stack Glocks like the G43, G43X, or G48.

50rd Glock Drum Magazine FAQ

Does this drop free when empty?
Due to the weight of the loaded magazine, it may not drop free as quickly as a standard stick magazine. When empty, it should release and drop normally. Some shooters strip it out manually during reloads just to be sure.
Can I use this with hollow point ammo?
The manufacturer recommends using FMJ ammunition. Hollow points may not feed as reliably due to the drum’s feeding geometry. Test thoroughly with your carry ammo if you plan to use this for defensive purposes.
Will this work in my AR9?
If your AR9 or PCC uses Glock magazines, this drum should fit. Many shooters run these in AR9 builds and Kel-Tec Sub 2000s successfully. Some PCCs may have tighter magwells, so function isn’t guaranteed across all platforms.
How hard is it to load?
The ratcheting load assist lever makes loading much easier than it would be otherwise. You wind in rounds using the lever rather than fighting spring pressure with your thumb. It still takes a few minutes to load 50 rounds, but it’s not painful.
Can I disassemble this for cleaning?
The manufacturer advises against disassembly. Opening the drum voids the warranty. For cleaning, you can flush the exterior and magwell interface without taking it apart.
Will this work with 3D printed Glock frames?
Yes. If your printed frame accepts standard double-stack Glock magazines (DD17.2, DD19.2, DD26.2, G80, Geisler Defence, etc.), this drum will work. It’s a popular choice for builds where maximum capacity is the goal.
What states restrict this magazine?
Several states prohibit magazines over 10 or 15 rounds. Restricted states include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois (some areas), Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Oregon, and Washington DC. Check your local laws before ordering.
