G80 Grip Module Overview

The G80 Grip Module is the polymer housing for your completed G80 Unfinished Receiver. It provides the ergonomic grip frame, trigger guard, magazine well, and accessory rail. Designed by Defense Distributed with the proven ergonomics of the Glock G19 Gen3, this grip module feels familiar from the first time you pick it up.

Manufactured using HP Multi Jet Fusion from PA11 nylon, the G80 Grip Module delivers consistent strength and durability that outperforms standard injection-molded polymers. The fully dense, isotropic material handles recoil stress and daily carry without the brittleness or flex issues common in lesser materials.

The G80 Grip Module is 120R compatible, meaning it works with the entire ecosystem of 120R grip designs from the G100 platform. Swap colors, swap textures, or 3D print your own custom grip from the open-source files. The grip module ships directly to your door (no FFL required) because it’s not a firearm or regulated component. Available in BLACK, FDE, ODG, and GRAY. Current lead time is 6 weeks. Price: $49.99-$59.99.

What’s Included with the G80 Grip Module

1x G80 Grip Module (selected color)

The G80 Grip Module ships as the grip frame only. It does not include a lower parts kit, magazine release, slide stop, or trigger components. Source a Glock G19/G23/G32 Gen3-compatible lower parts kit separately. Note that certain pins and springs from standard Glock LPKs are replaced by components included with the G80 Unfinished Receiver.

What Makes the G80 Grip Module Different

Glock G19 Gen3 Ergonomics
The G80 Grip Module replicates the grip angle, dimensions, and feel of the Glock G19 Gen3. If you’ve shot a G19, you already know how this grip module handles. The sleek profile maintains holster compatibility with most Kydex, leather, and hybrid holsters designed for the G19/G23/G32 platform.

Multi Jet Fusion PA11 Construction
PA11 nylon is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic that outperforms standard polymers in toughness and impact resistance. The Multi Jet Fusion process produces fully dense parts with isotropic properties (consistent strength in all directions). This means the G80 Grip Module handles high round counts, repeated recoil stress, and real-world carry conditions without degradation.

120R Compatible
The G80 Grip Module uses the 120R standard developed by Defense Distributed for the G100 platform. Your completed G80 receiver fits any 120R grip module, and any G80 grip fits 120R receivers. This opens up the entire ecosystem: buy additional G80 grips in different colors, use G100 grip modules, or 3D print custom designs from the open-source files on the Downloads page.

Magazine Compatibility
The G80 Grip Module accepts standard Glock Compact magazines across all supported calibers: G19 (9mm), G23 (.40 S&W), and G32 (.357 SIG). Gen3 through Gen5 magazines all work. Magpul PMAG 19 GL9 magazines are also compatible for 9mm builds. Extended G17/G22/G31 magazines function but will protrude below the grip.

Not a Firearm
The G80 Grip Module is not a firearm or regulated component under federal law. It’s simply a polymer housing with no fire control function. The serialized component in the G80 system is the steel Unfinished Receiver. Grip modules ship directly to your door without an FFL transfer and can be freely swapped, customized, or replaced.

G80 Grip Module FAQ

What is the G80 Grip Module?
The G80 Grip Module is a polymer housing designed to accept the completed G80 Unfinished Receiver. It provides the ergonomic grip frame, trigger guard, magazine well, and accessory rail. Manufactured using HP Multi Jet Fusion from PA11 nylon, it delivers Glock G19 Gen3 ergonomics in a modular design compatible with G19, G23, and G32 Gen3 components.
Will the G80 Grip Module fit my existing Glock holsters?
Yes. The G80 Grip Module is designed with a profile comparable to the Glock G19 Gen3. External dimensions and accessory rail placement match standard Glock Compact geometry. Most Kydex, leather, or hybrid holsters for the G19/G23/G32 should work without modification.
What magazines work with the G80 Grip Module?
Standard Glock Compact magazines in all supported calibers: G19 (9mm), G23 (.40 S&W), and G32 (.357 SIG) from Gen3 through Gen5. Magpul PMAG 19 GL9 magazines are also compatible for 9mm builds. Extended G17/G22/G31 magazines will function but extend below the grip.
What does “120R compatible” mean?
120R is the grip module standard developed by Defense Distributed for the G100 platform. The G80 receiver shares the same chassis dimensions, so all G80 and G100 grip modules are interchangeable. You can swap between any 120R-compatible grip, including open-source designs from the G80 Downloads page.
Can I 3D print my own G80 Grip Module?
Yes. Defense Distributed provides open-source CAD files on the Downloads page. You can manufacture these designs using 3D printing, CNC machining, or any other method. The files are free to download and can be customized with different textures, colors, or ergonomic modifications.
How does the G80 Grip Module attach to the receiver?
The completed G80 receiver drops into the grip module from above. Front and rear grip pins pass through the grip module and receiver to secure everything together. Same pin locations as a standard Glock. No special tools required.
What’s the difference between the G80 Grip Module and a Polymer80 frame?
Modularity. A Polymer80 frame is a single integrated unit with serialized components, rails, and grip in one piece. The G80 separates these functions: the steel FCU contains the serialized fire control components, while the grip module is just the ergonomic housing. Swap grip modules without replacing the serialized component.
Does the G80 Grip Module include a lower parts kit?
No. The G80 Grip Module ships as the grip frame only. It does not include a lower parts kit, magazine release, slide stop, or trigger components. Source a Glock Gen3-compatible LPK separately. Certain pins and springs are replaced by components included with the G80 Unfinished Receiver.
Is the G80 Grip Module the serialized component?
No. The grip module is not a firearm under federal law. It’s simply a polymer housing with no fire control function. It ships directly to your door without an FFL transfer. The serialized component in the G80 system is the steel Unfinished Receiver.
What colors are available for the G80 Grip Module?
BLACK, FDE (Flat Dark Earth), ODG (Olive Drab Green), and GRAY. Because grip module files are open-source, you can also manufacture your own in any color or have a custom grip Cerakoted.
