DD19.2 Rail & Locking Block Kit Overview

The DD19.2 Rail and Locking Block Kit provides the essential metal components needed to complete your FMDA DD19.2 3D printed Glock 19 frame. This bundle includes precision-formed front and rear rails plus a 17-4 stainless steel locking block—everything required to transform your printed frame into a functional compact 9mm pistol.

The FMDA DD19.2 is one of the most popular 3D printed Glock 19 frame designs available, known for its trouble-free assembly and improved rear rail system that eliminates the screws found in earlier FMDA designs. This kit is manufactured in Wisconsin from high-quality stainless steel and machined to tight tolerances for reliable fit and function.

What Makes This DD19.2 Kit Different

Precision-Formed Rails
The front rails in this kit are the same high-quality, high-tolerance rails offered in the original FMDA G19 rail kit—proven components with thousands of successful builds. The rear rails feature an all-new design specific to the DDxx.2 frame series, engineered to work with the improved no-screw mounting system that makes the DD19.2 stronger and easier to assemble than previous generations.

Frame-Supported Rear Rail Design
Unlike earlier FMDA designs that relied solely on screws, the DD19.2’s rear rails are supported by both the frame and the trigger components. This dual-support system creates a more rigid, reliable platform. To protect these precision-formed rails during shipping, we include a protective holder that maintains proper dimensions until installation.

Matched Locking Block
The included Gen 3 compact locking block is machined from 17-4 stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance. This is a direct replacement for Glock Part #7894 and fits all three-pin Gen 3 Glock 19 pattern builds including the DD19.2 and its various remixes.

American Manufacturing
Every component in this kit is 100% made in Wisconsin. The rails are precision-formed from high-quality stainless steel, and the locking block is CNC machined to exact specifications. No overseas sourcing, no quality compromises.

What You Need to Complete Your DD19.2 Build

To finish your 3D printed Glock 19, you’ll need this rail and locking block kit plus a Gen 3 Glock 19 lower parts kit and a compatible Gen 3 Glock 19 slide assembly. The DD19.2 frame files are freely available from sources including 3D Gun Builder and DEFCAD. Print settings and assembly instructions are included with the file package.

DD19.2 Rail & Locking Block Kit FAQ

What frames are compatible with this DD19.2 rail kit?
This kit is designed specifically for the FMDA DD19.2 3D printed Glock 19 frame and its remixes. The rear rails use the DDxx.2-specific mounting system and are not compatible with earlier FMDA frames or other 3D printed Glock designs that use different rail systems.
Will this locking block work with other 3D printed Glock 19 frames?
The locking block is compatible with any build requiring a three-pin Gen 3 Glock 19 locking block, including the DD19.2 and its remixes. It is a direct replacement for Glock Part #7894. Verify your frame design’s locking block requirements before ordering.
What other parts do I need to complete a DD19.2?
In addition to this rail and locking block kit, you’ll need a Gen 3 Glock 19 lower parts kit (trigger, trigger bar, slide stop, magazine catch, pins, springs, etc.) and a compatible Gen 3 Glock 19 slide assembly (slide, barrel, recoil spring, upper parts kit). The frame itself is 3D printed using freely available files.
Where do I get the DD19.2 print files?
The FMDA DD19.2 files are freely available from 3D Gun Builder, DEFCAD, and other repositories. The design was created by FreeMenDontAsk (FMDA) and includes comprehensive assembly documentation. We do not distribute print files directly.
What printer settings work best for the DD19.2 frame?
The DD19.2 prints well in PLA+ and similar materials. The file package includes detailed print settings, but generally the frame prints upright with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.15mm layer height. Glass-filled Zytel produces an extremely strong frame for those with experience printing engineering materials.
Why do the rear rails come with a protective holder?
The DD19.2’s rear rails are precision-formed to exact tolerances. The protective holder maintains proper dimensions during shipping and handling. Keep the rails in the holder until you’re ready to install them in your frame.
Is it legal to build a 3D printed Glock 19?
Under federal law, individuals may manufacture firearms for personal use without a license. However, state and local laws vary significantly. Some jurisdictions prohibit home-built firearms or have serialization requirements. It is your responsibility to verify the laws in your area before building.
Can I sell a DD19.2 that I build?
Manufacturing firearms with the intent to sell requires a Federal Firearms License. Building for personal use is legal federally; building for sale is a licensed activity. This kit is intended for personal use only.
