3D Printed G17 Build Kit Overview
The 3D Printed G17 Build Kit includes everything you need to complete your DD17.2 frame. Instead of tracking down parts from five different vendors and hoping they work together, this kit bundles a complete slide assembly, precision rails, locking block, and full lower parts kit in one box.
We put this kit together specifically for the FMDA DD17.2 3D printed Glock 17 frame. Print your frame, open the box, and start building. Every component is matched and tested, so you’re not troubleshooting compatibility issues mid-build.
What’s Included in This 3D Printed Glock 17 Kit
Complete G17 Slide Assembly
Black nitride slide machined from 416 stainless steel and heat treated to 42 HRC. The kit includes an Optimus Series flush cut barrel with polygonal rifling and 1:10 twist, a complete upper parts kit, and polymer sights with a white dot front. H&M Precision handles the nitride finish, which holds up well to holster wear and corrosion.
DD17.2 Rail & Locking Block Kit
Precision-formed stainless steel rails built for the DDxx.2 mounting system. The front rails are the same proven FMDA G17 design that’s been used in thousands of builds. Rear rails use the improved no-screw system that makes DD17.2 assembly easier and the finished frame stronger.
17-4 Stainless Steel Locking Block
CNC machined to exact specifications. This is a direct replacement for Glock Part #1447 and fits all three-pin Gen 3 Glock 17 pattern builds, including the DD17.2 and its remixes.
G17 Lower Parts Kit
Everything for the frame internals: trigger bar, trigger housing with 9mm ejector already installed, 5.5lb connector, all springs, slide stop, slide lock, three frame pins, and magazine catch. These drop right into a properly printed frame without fitting.
Why Builders Choose This 3D Printed Glock Kit
One Kit, Zero Compatibility Issues
We selected every component to work together out of the box. The slide uses Gen 3 internals that match the lower parts kit. The rails fit the DD17.2 mounting system. You won’t need to dig through forum posts figuring out what works with what.
100% American Made
The slide and barrel are machined from domestic stainless steel and finished by H&M Precision. Rails and locking block come from Wisconsin. This is a domestic-built parts kit, not a box of mystery imports.
Save Money and Time
Bundle pricing beats buying components separately. You get one shipment instead of four, and you’re not waiting on back-ordered parts from different suppliers while your printed frame collects dust.
Proven Design Platform
The DD17.2 is one of the most tested 3D printed pistol designs out there. Thousands of successful builds, solid documentation, and an active community if you have questions. This kit gives you the parts. The design gives you confidence.
What Else You Need for Your 3D Printed G17
DD17.2 Frame (You Print This)
Files are available free from DEFCAD, Odyssee, and The Gatalog. Search for “DD17.2” or “FMDA Glock 17” and you’ll find them. The download includes print settings, assembly instructions, and video walkthroughs. PLA+ works well for most builders. Glass-filled Zytel produces stronger frames if you have experience with engineering filaments.
Magazine
Any Glock 17 magazine from Gen 3 through Gen 5 will work, along with the Magpul PMAG 17 GL9. We sell these separately if you need them.
Basic Tools
A punch set, hammer, and sight pusher will get you through the build. Standard stuff you probably already have.
